I am assuming all the cards you mentioned wireless? ...sounds like a good deal to me...but please know that transfer rates with wireless-B are significantly slower that with wireless-G...but if that is a price you are willing to pay, sure...sounds good. ~TheKombatBoy~

yea, I do believe my "friend" is an idiot also... he isn't very swift when it comes to computers, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar issue. I forgot to mention, when he got his replacement drive, he kept the unit in the refrigerator. I though that would kill the thing...

I would personally stay away from Gateway's. My sister has one and two months after she got it, the onboard LAN card died. I therefore spent about 5 hours on the phone with Gateway, in which they were very rude to me as a customer...the only thing they figured I could do was reinstall...
