    Megahalem bent sideways on motherboard..

I've got to say that I second the 'shouldn't have drilled holes in it' argument. =/ Not sure....

Megahalem Fan and case fan recommendation

http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling/609636-megahalems-push-pull-25mm-fan-tests.html In this test, the Xigmatek XLF-F1253 fans @ 1500 RPMs ran 1-2c warmer (under load, identical at idle) than the Scythe S-Flex 1900 RPM fans. The Xigmateks are rated < 20 dBA, though, while the S-Flex's are...

    razer imperator

I'm curious. I love my DeathAdder, but I've had it for about a year now, and I'm kinda itching to replace it... my backlit keyboard shines white, and my case fans will have white LEDs, so I think it'd be spiffy to get one of the Razer mice with a white light, rather than the typical blue. I...

Having trouble choosing an i7 cooler.

Sorry, I don't mean to step on your toes or anything, but after reading that enthusiastic post and following the link to the test results page, the first thing I see is "The Vigor Monsoon III LT was a little disappointing." Kinda made me laugh. Personally, I'd probably go with the Megahalems...

    i7 860 & XIGMATEK HDT-S1283

Not sure if you already picked up your motherboard, or which one you've got, but if you can't manage to find Xigmatek's mounting kit for LGA 1156, I know that several P55 boards do have LGA 775 mounting holes in addition to the regular LGA 1156 mounting holes.

Logitech Illuminated keyboard review & pics

Well, we've already established that not all of them have this issue. Maybe it was just a particular batch or two, or something. I don't know, but the keyboard has always done right by me in games. I can only imagine that those reviewers were basing their recommendations on...

Yes, best keyboard I've ever used. Good luck. =)

Better to leave on or turn off?

Well, I always leave my computer on 24/7. I could be completely off, I don't know any of the technical details involved, but for example, leaving a lightbulb on 24/7 gives it a much longer lifespan than it would have while constantly being turned on and off. I don't know if the same is...

Logitech Illuminated keyboard review & pics

If it helps any of you guys, I own this keyboard and mine does not exhibit this problem. I can hold Shift+W and Space still registers just fine. Holding two keys and pressing a third in any combination registers perfectly. I bought mine maybe 4-5 months ago, also at Fry's. (Edit: Scratch...

$2,500 Total Awesomeness Build - Need Advice

It's true that you could spend less on the memory, definitely. Just so you know though, even with that first set, G.Skill themselves recommend feeding them 1.65v and claim that it's the optimum voltage for those modules. I feel like those might not have as much headroom. I guess I like the...

$2,500 Total Awesomeness Build - Need Advice

Well, all right. I'm going to be doing a similar build in about a month.. I'm not spending quite as much, due to the fact that I'm migrating a few components over from my old rig... but by-and-large, if it were my money, this is how I'd do it. In a full tower, I'd probably get the Corsair 800D...

$2,500 Total Awesomeness Build - Need Advice

Well, I put a list together, but I couldn't do it without going over budget. I always seem to have that problem, especially when I'm buying for myself. Without the monitor it seems pretty easy to go all-out for 2.5k, though. Oh, and I just noticed that the Intel X25-M's went up like 80 bucks...

Need Opinions on Build (Gaming PC)

Yeah, it would be worth it. Get a Core i5-750, in my opinion. And again, yeah. Why don't you like Radeon cards? If you're being brand-loyal without any good and honest reason, throw that out the window... they go back and forth, but right now ATI gives you more performance for less money...

Need Opinions on Build (Gaming PC)

For $1,200 you don't need to get last-gen tech... go with a P55 build instead of P45. If you're buying now, get a Radeon HD 5850 over a GTX 275... you'll get a lot more bang for your buck.

Just finished my build... still have a few questions

I'm pretty sure that RealTemp is the standard for core temperatures. You can watch it while running LinX to test stability and give a full CPU load. For video benchmarks, 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage are probably the most obvious choices. I see that HD Tune is a popular HDD benchmarking...
