Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This is anecdotal and I do not have frametime graphs to back this up, but crossfire appears to be much smoother under Win10 than in Win8.1. I ran Firestrike ultra which had a lot of stuttering under win8.1. In Win10, the framerates were still in the 20's and 30's, but it appeared much smoother...
This AVS thread seems to indicate that they are not out yet, but will be out in this quarter:

These type of adapters seem to never come out on schedule though so my...
Something I found out when I went portrait on my Dell 2410 is that horizontal viewing angles suffer on some LCD displays in portrait mode. The 2410 in portrait directly faces me in my sitting position, but colors start to shift around 40 degrees.
Not sure what type of panel technology will give...
Do other users really have that many problems with crossfire? I have had crossfire 7970s and now crossfire 290s and I have only run into problems with crossfire once (Diablo 3). Maybe it's because I don't buy games when they first come out so drivers, crossfire profiles, etc are sorted out by...
Yep. I run Dual-Link DVI on a 2560x1440 Overlord monitor at 133Hz. That's way too much bandwidth for any other interface right now. New DP or HDMI specs may support this much bandwidth, but DVI does it RIGHT NOW.
Yep. Thestilt's bios would disable some ROPs since the mining software did not utilize all of the ROPs concurrently. Then you could overclock the bejezus out of it by disabling half if I recall reading correctly...
The BIOS switch on a 290 is just that: a BIOS switch. He flashed the Thestilt's...
I have the same MSI Gaming 290's crossfired and the card closest to the CPU gets hotter on mine as well. It is on an Maximus VI Extreme which lets you really space out 2 video cards. Card closest to the CPU always gets hot. In fact,
I have my mobo installed upside-down in the case, with the CPU...
I have a similar fan configuration for 2x 290s but I have the 2 perpendicular fans blowing cold air in. I will reverse them and see if that is much better.
My RMA experience with MSI last year was similar. I had posted about an issue with an AMD motherboard on MSI's forum for a rig I was building a friend's son. An MSI rep saw my post and helped me get an RMA for the board. I sent the board in and they sent it back fixed in less than 2 weeks...
Let us know how it works out. I have always had good experiences with FCPU. I would like to hear what they have to say about your card specifically being listed as compatible when it is not. I'm building a water loop on FCPU right now for tri-fire 290s and I think I am going to stay away from...
Wasn't aware of the online chat option. services@gigabyte-usa.com is listed at the bottom of the 2 emails that I did receive. I emailed that address 3 times asking for an update with no response.
I tried calling the number phantom posted. I waited on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up...
Just wanted to give an update here. Finally just received a package from Gigabyte. They sent me a new in box 280x OC version. Almost 2 months from when I sent the bad card in and the new one arrived at my door.
I am pleased that they replaced the defective card with a comparable new...
I have the same 290s you have in crossfire paired with a 4770k@4.6Ghz. In BF4 I hover around 110-120 FPS with ultra settings on a 2560x1440@120Hz.
I think I agree with kache that your processor is holding those babies back. You should get a few more FPS by overclocking your CPU.
