    ATI 6.5 Catalyst released

    Yeah, the 6.5 is great for my X1900XTX too. Scoring 99 points more in 3Dmark06 and it runs 1 or 2 degrees celcius cooler. :cool:

    I was gonna get a 7800GTX 512 at first until I canceled it and got a 1900XTX instead. The XTX is noisy indeed. Ultimately, the performance is what counts the most and I'll put up with the noise and use some hefty headphones.

    Core temps!

    My 1900XTX hits 65 - 72c during load. About 44 when idle. At first I was kind of paranoid becuz my Gainward 6800GT with custom air cooling never went beyond 60c.

    I agree with the TS. Devs should at least leave high features in the final build check box optional. Such features are the base, the fundaments for the high end videocard market.

    Nah, I can confirm it. My Asus X1900XTX scores 5300 06 marks with WHQL 6.2 versus 6001 with the Beta 6.2 The officials also heat up the card alot quicker and higher, so I ditched them quickly.
