Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I go back and play the original HL every once and a while. It gives me flashbacks to sitting in my room, at 2am on my crappy old gateway shooting headcrabs. It's also disappointing to see people rag on HL for the bad graphics and say it is unplayable due to that. I hope these aren't the same...
Haha, holy crap is that nostalgic.
The big selling point for most consumers is the price point at which they can enter the console gaming market. The majority of families out there would much rather spend $300 on a PS3 than $1,300 on a computer - regardless of whether or not the pc can do...
Perhaps I am just an odd individual (wouldn't surprise me in the least ) but I really don't see the point in having an ipod or zune when all the smartphones have such similar functionality.
I currently have a BB Bold 9000 and have used that as my MP3 player for the last year and a...
After going through this thread again I couldn't help be unsatisfied by my previous background. Here is attempt #2 -- I'm much happier with the results. I only wish I could use the desktop email notification in Rainmeter, but people being able to see your password seems like a silly security...
I grew up playing Half Life and CS so I almost exclusively use WSAD. I occasionally use the double mouse click to move in MMOs when I'm lazy.
I've tried esdf and I kept missing the Shift/Ctrl/Alt keys :( Plus, who needs all those extra keybinds when you can just get a Razer Naga
This argument really boggles my mind. Games generally come with different difficulty settings - easy, medium, hard, fml hard, etc... Why not make the normal difficulty the accessible one, and the harder difficulties appropriate for "hard core gamers?" It seems like a simple fix.
I guess with...
I played competitive CS (cal-m/p/i and cevo-m) back in the day, and I'm not sure I know any "pro" gamer who doesn't have some sort of voice communication ability. I can type relatively fast, about 110 wpm, and there is no way that is faster than speaking. Not to mention you have to move your...
Most Memorable:
- Everquest
- Halo 1
- Counter Strike 1.6
- Half Life
Most Disappointing:
- Aion
- Warhammer Online
- Halo 2/3
- Everquest 2
I might just go boot up the original Half Life and crowbar some stuff now :p
Hopefully this is out by the time I get back from Tokyo... I'm ready to leave my Bold 9000 and ATT behind.
It would be fantastic if the price was in the $200-250 range after MIR.
Hopefully the coverage is good in the three main cities I travel between (NYC/Philly/LA).
A very good friend of mine swears by the Func pads, and you really can't beat the price.
I would suggest picking up some mouse skatez or equivalent though, since hard surfaces tend to wear out the standard feet on your mice (they are pretty inexpensive).
What are you going to be doing? FPS Gaming/ MMOs/RTS/Graphic Design? I can provide some color on my experiences for FPS/MMOs which hopefully helps. If you simply want recommendations, go to the bottom.
I should also mention there is a pretty huge difference between cloth or hard surfaces.
FPS...
