Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I thought about that too...but there's no point in running a WHS just for one gaming computer and one laptop. It's like building a file server to serve one comp.
I'll probably just go with the RAID5 option, put backup my important files on my an external harddrive and burn unimportant files...
but WHS, gaming desktop, tablet pc laptop for 1 person seems kind of........overkill. lol..
And does anyone know if 8x750GB hdds and hardware raid 5 be seriously affected by the "write-hole" and "bitrot"? or is that a bit overhyped?

What pump did you have? I use a MCP355 with a XSPC top and I find that it is much quieter than my stock cooling (especially with the stock cooler on my HD4870). I also overclock a lot more.
I'm guessing the OP means desktop. and +1 to separate hard drives, if the OS fails, you can still get your data back by taking out the other hard drive. It's also much easier to reinstall operating systems with separate hard drives.
I thought about doing that but then I'd need to get 4 1.5gb or 2tb drives to do that...and I still haven't thought of a way to configure them IF I do decide to go that route.
Well, the case is some old generic one that's really poorly designed and the PSU is some old and loud generic one...
Hello Storage gurus~ lol.
I am going to college in the fall so I'm dismantling my WHS and taking out the 4 hard drives (planning to get 4 more and move my stuff that were DVDs to purely hard drives)to put in my gaming computer (which I will bring along with me!). My question is..what kind of...
