Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So, I finally got a look at MNPCtech's new 120mm blow hole kit and seems perfect for this project. Originally I was thinking of something else but I am going to give this look a try and see if I like it.
Putting the 120 in the top of this case is pretty easy. The right tools and experience...
No, you would not have to use them if you did not want to. I put screws in them just becuase I thought they looked goofy with nothing in them.
Thanks for the props on the art work, that our specialty. :D
The radgrillz turned out very well. The fans are attached to the inside screw holes with machine screws and small nuts. I had to enlarge the inside holes slightly but it works well. Once the fans were attached to the grills I just inserted the whole unit and attached it using the same machine...
Selection of Gallery Pics for Ophidian
Because of the highly polished finish I had some difficulty taking pictures off the case. Even using a light box I still ended up with reflections and sun spots! It just a testiment to the finish on this project. The case has several coats of clear coat on...
Yeah, that's the plan. I hope to get her a good keyboard soon and with any luck a flat panel also. I think the paint should be pretty easy to match. A buddy of my gave me a nice little laptop mouse that fits her little hands perfectly and even matches the case. :)
I know, I know...I missed my Christmas deadline on this project...Bad Father...Bad! Well, things got pretty crazy as Christmas this year and as it turned out, my daughter Lilly has so many other gifts it seemed like too much to give her a new computer on top of it all.
Well, her birthday is...
Sure, sorry I didn't take any pics when I was building it but I was pretty focused and did not realize that I had not taken any until I was finished. I will open it up and take some pics of my Ghetto Blow hole and post them tomorrow! ;)
Quick update on the Ghetto project. I put in a blowhole fan in last night. This was not an easy task considering I could not just bolt the fan to top case panel. Because the entire chassis is covered by one big panel bent in a "U" shape I could not mount the fan to the panel without it...
I have a LAN party this weekend so it's time for some spring cleaning. I already have my Ghetto Cruiser ready to serve the games now it's time to clean up the BooomBox.
There are a ton of places for dirt and dust to collect but most of those are easily cleaned. If you have a compressor then...
Hardly seems worth it's own thread so I am going to continue my Ghetto Cruiser updates in this thread for now. Working on this old box is shear joy! :D
BooomLAN Gaming and Mod Club has a LAN party coming up on the Saturday the 29th. I am bringing the server for our UT2004 Death Match...
