Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Thnks Nenu, I guess it stats to make sense - simpily a lower quality card I suppose. I have searched a little more and many at teh EVGA/XFX forums also had similiar problems. Seems ot be a reference design flaw that slipped through and affectnig people. Well at least mine is fine within a stock...
Same here. I have used 4 different cards - 8800GTX, Quadro FX550, Quadro FX4500 and a 8800GT. All worked flawlessly at 424 FSB and the 9600GT just bails out at 343 FSB with PCI-e locked at 100 or set to auto. I just want to keep the 9600GT as possible as it runs quiet. consume 50W lesser and...
Nenu - The setup is not in the case, and I have been blowing 120mm fans at it at full blast. It cannot be the heat as the whole setup works fine with 4 other VGA cards - and the card works fine with another ASUS board, even without extra fan. I am keen to see if other shave this perculiar issue...
Is there anyone out there who knows about this issue which a fellow member told me about? I have googled it and cannot find any leads. He remembered only 'gigabyte idiot' or something.
I have another old thread here but this thread is specific to bring Gigabyte into the headlines after I...
Swop to a ASUS P5E board and everything is fine. The problem seems ot be with the damn board not happy with the 9600GT. Oh well, making a decision to get rid of either the board or the card ia easier then going thru all this trouble. thanks everyone for your thoughts. Any one knows the Gigabyte...

I have stated that the card can be overclocked - ran fine overclocked for 8 hours of gaming on a stock machine. Heat is a concern but obviuosly not the problem here. In fact it is running 3Dmark overclocked in my machine right now - but if I raise my CPU by 1 mhz it freezes. It is...
I am running at 424 FSB, so if it is not locked then you are talking about 200+ FSB on the PCIe bus? I doubt any board can take it. The coputer boots fine, it just cannot play any games or watch any movies sometimes. The system still continues through working, only that the screen goes black...
It is obvious what the problem is as I have said from the first post - this 9600GT card cannot work with my system if my clock is raised by 1 mhz. The 8800GTX and Quadro FX550 does though. So my question is if anyone have the same issue that certain cards do not like to work with overclocked...
The system is stable at overclock with a 8800GTX, but not a 9600GT. The only difference is the video card, not anything else has changed. No video cards are overclocked. I am using a Quadro FX550 on the same overclock and it is fine. There seems to be a problem with the 9600GT running on stock...
