Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
What the?
I'm trying to figure out why you can't understand this and coming up short.
Nvidia processing cores are not the same as AMD's processing cores, or (shader units).
Not the same. Not.
Merely counting them does not make them the same. Merely having a closer number to each other this gen...
Or, they can more than double the transistor density that they had with previous gens along with the node change. I'm seeing some graphs showing about 12 million transistors per mm^2 as opposed to under 6 million per mm^2 as Fermi was. So, that "could" explain a lot if true.
Hmm. Is Tegra 2 really incapable of running 1080p videos? I think this is circumstantial at best. You'll find that it can run H.264 videos very well, but this often depends on the medium it's reading from. I.E. SD card over 4GB on a FAT32 partition will have problems...
Looks like I'll have to go the shared DDR3 route then for my budget. Your last suggestion has the "G" suffix so I assume it has the shared mem as someone stated above.
Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. What kind of level of gaming should I reasonably expect from this 6520G? And does anyone...
I bet it is. But as I mentioned, I need two. I don't want to spend over 1100 on lappys right now.
800 and change I could do. Anything else you can think of would be appreciated.
Hmm. So what would be the lowest, truly discrete (meaning it has it's own VRAM along with not being integrated) mGPU in the fusion line? I'd like to get a pair of laptops for my kids and they like to play wizard101, and something called Roblox. Both are a bit much for integrated graphics.
I'd...
I agree, the AMD offerings (pre- BD) were/are pretty good. My wife has a new PhII x4 and my son has a slightly older Ph II x3 rig. Really good values for the performance. Not the fastest by quite a bit, but doesn't really need to be. Myself and my daughter have Intel Q core rigs.
But, as far as...
Still no NVStrap driver section. Using drivers that 2.10 supports, yet I can't seem to find any boot strap configurations. E.G. as in disabling shaders like we used to be able to do. Am I looking in the wrong places? Is there a trick? Or is it just not there anymore or not possible with newer...
The G92 is not a 9800GTX, but an 8700GTS.

If you want to get exact, before anything got heated at all, EastCoast called Silius a "spin-doctor" or accused him of "spin-doctoring", which isn't terrible in itself. But then you follow up with this endorsement:
"Now you know something about that guy. Don't get too self involved. These...
You more than merely defend, but get preachy and a bit precognitive in your thoughts.. I know the 2900XT is a great card. Just as good as my 8800GTS in most cases. I conducted my own set of benchmarks in June to verify this.
So telling me a 2900XT is neck and neck with a 8800GTS is right on the...
I suppose you're going to tell me to re-read your post? I read your posts. That's why I'm talking with you. Sheesh. Anyway, I have a thick skin. Call me what you like, but I know better. When somebody dwindles down to saying "fanboi" in every post, they have lost my attention, and respect if...
