Am I the only one that can appreciate the speakers? You can't even tell they are in there. I use a pair of Beyerdynamic dt770's for gaming, so when I put them away its nice not to have clutter on the desk. The speakers are fine for surfing the web. -

I just got my replacement. No dead or stuck pixels. I am happy now. The slight purple tint is there at angles, no white glow. Like the previous poster said, if 1:1 and extra ports don't matter to you, then this is the way to go. I know there are people out there who hate the glow, so this is... -

Well I for one would rather have a polarizer over some usb ports and another dvi plug. Although it can't be confirmed that its actually in there, I can tell you there is no white glow looking straight on or at angles. Either they found another way to get rid of it or they put a polarizer in... -

Mine did this, in fact this is the reason I used to return the monitor. It was not constant, sometimes it would happen sometimes not. I didnt notice it while gaming, and would have kept it if I didnt have the stuck pixel. -

Soon as I get my replacement I will verify this, but it does sound like it won't do 1:1. I am only using this on my pc, so this does not matter to me. What I liked the most was not having the glow in the corners. It REALLY bothered me on my old nec. -

Using the "centered timings" on catalyst and the 16:10 option on the monitor, I got 4 black bars when selecting a lower resolution. -

No problem. The bezel is a little thick, but it looks nice. I think it is worth getting. What do you guys think the chances of getting an excahnge from newegg? There is that one stuck pixel, and a little bit backlight bleed in the middle. Usually the BB is off to the edges, would that count... -

Armatoste, the NEC seemed a little crisper probably due to the glossy screen. I used the centered timings, and turned off scaling on the monitor. I do get black bars on all four sides. -

Yeah that doesnt sound right with the black bars. In catalyst, what should I have it set at to test this? I cant get my ps3 or xbox out until my wife comes home later to help me move our entertainment center. I dont have a CRT anymore. But I can tell you that I do not notice a difference... -

Actually I just tried again with 1080p with scaling disabled, and I did see black bars on all sides.
