34" 1440, why is it even a question? @OP 4k res. will probably be better for you your usage tbh But worth bearing in mind that the Philips screen has a glossy finish so reflections galore especially if you are in a room with lots of light. VA panel is better for contrast ratio and blacks... -

4K vs. 21:9 monitors
I personally have had very little issues with games and 21.9, any that do have problems are thankfully easy to fix either via flawless widescreen or a simple tweak in a config file -

Oh look, the biggest hater of 21.9 on overclock.net is now on here spewing utter rubbish once again.... If your eyesight/peripheral vision is 5:4 then you really need to get your eyes checked out. The imax films that I have seen have all been 16.9, not 4.3 I have over 400 films and...
