Confused about i7 memory
Sorry I meant that I've been told that since the i7 normally runs memory at 1066, if you want to use anything higher then 1066, say 1600, you have to overclock the cpu to be able to actually run it at 1600. Apparently 2 of my coworkers have had trouble with compatibility issues with ram that... -

I'm trying to pick out 6gb of memory for an i7 system but I'm not quite sure what I can use. I'm not really interested in overclocking as I'm looking for a quiet as possible/ stable system, but I might try it if there is (virtually) no impact on heat/stability. From what I read and heard... -

Freaky, I just typed in Pioneer DVR216DBK noise in google and the first hit linked back to this thread.. Anyway, the samsung and pioneer seem to be getting the same type of comments in new egg user reviews. Wish I could find a comparison. Anyone here who has heard both by any chance?- Kermith

kevinzak: I can hardly get any ddr3 g.skill memory here (the Netherlands) it seems, only place I've found so far sells it for 200 instead of the 209 I'd be paying for the corsair. Also the corsair I can buy at the same store I'm planning to buy the pc from so I'd save some shipping costs there...- Kermith

styx0r: As I understand it all current nvidia cards use the stock cooler. There don't seem to be a lot of compatible aftermarket coolers out yet. NEC 2490WUXI buy and discussion tread
Actually the 2490wuxi has just been released in Europe, I'm from the Netherlands too (what are the odds?) and I just ordered mine. It should arrive in 2 weeks or so. It's actually a little bit cheaper then the 24WMGX³ for some reason.
