Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, my reasoning is that it could be 50 bucks that I could spend on a 1366 MB. Once I pay off my CC then i'll prolly go for an i7 build. I'll just have to hang on to what I have now and wait it out. It realllly sucks.
Thanks, I'll most likely look for a 920 now since it appears your gpu was being inhibited by the cpu. I hope the MC price will drop back down to 200. I wish I knew an employee there that can hook me up with a discount too =P
Yes, like I said before, any changes I make to the multiplier or FSb results in a booting problem. I've tried all sorts of settings with the board and it results in the same problem. I found a few other people with same problem and the only fix was to RMA it. It seems a batch of boards had this...
Are you saying wait to buy the gulftown or wait to buy the 930 after gulfttown is released?
I simply could not afford the gulftown chip, i think it will be around 1000 bucks upon release.
Eh, I wouldn't trust myself with a mod like that. I may just start saving for the 920 now. I will have to do my homework on 1366 motherboards in the mean time.
Oh I did not know this. Has there been any fixes? I wouldn't mind opening mine up to stop the noise or at least mask it. My 1000w corsair did not have this problem, so it seems to be hit or miss.
Sure.
