Its fine i ended up buying a corsair tx850 to power the rig although it is just sitting on my desk as a test setup atm as im too drunk to put it in my old water cooled rigged case... (Im not water cooling it till next month)

I have just bought a i7 920, Asus rampage II gene and ari 5450 512mb (don't worry I am going to change it not doing gaming right now). However I'm doing this in stages, could I use an x-connect 500watt from my old machine could I use an adapter? It will only be for a month or so?
