Is Adaptec 6805e compatible with an ASUS P8H77-V LE?

Hi I would like to know if an Adaptec 6805e is compatible with an ASUS P8H77-V LE. I've looked at daptec's site but they only list compatibility with server level mobos. Also I've had some boot problems with this adapter on old motherboards. Thanks.
