Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This works fine under Solaris and will auto online the spare when needed. I may be incorrect here, but I dont think this works under the other options (free as, zfs on Linux...)
Your system listed seems reasonable.
Whatever you end up doing keep this in mind, never combine zfs with hardware raid. Zfs needs direct disk access. hardware raid plus zfs is a bad match.
The memory requirements are not as bad as some make it out to be.
It really depends on your...
From him posting a single word, you were able to come up with things like "butt-hurt" and a whole thing about how we need a new saying around here?
Looking at google trends, it appears "butt-hurt" reached its peak around 2012.
People posting yet another image of hard drives in cardboard...
Be sure to read the threads where they advise you do NOT virtualize it....

As i posted before in the main 10TB thread, the problem wont be solved by creating a new "showoff thread" but by getting people use the existing one correctly.

Occasionally there is some good stuff here, but not often.
You end up with a lot of pictures of someone in a computer room (the floor...
Look at the spec doc from HP (at least for the MSA60)
HP StorageWorks 60 Modular Smart Array

SATA 1.5Gb/s - Delivering data transfer rates greater than 100MB/s
First thought is the issue is with your MSA70 (I have a MSA60 and it isn't known for speed).
Have you tried just the internal disks (not copying to/from the MSA70)?
If so, cant you just use svccfg ?
svccfg setnotify problem-diagnosed mailto:XXX@XXXXX.com
No need for PERL or such, it will send you a fancy report with the problem details and any corrective action it attempted.
Not long ago I sent seagate a 10 day old dead 3TB drive. They sent me back a "repaired" drive with the "fancy" green bar around the label.
I now have another dead 3TB drive, this one out of warranty. I decided to give them a try after seeing positive reviews but now wish i stuck with...
