Update: The cheap-ass store told me that since I had unpacked the monitor, I could NOT get a refund, so it seems im stuck with it.
But, is the input lag the same on all monitors or is there any way I can get a new one on warranty?
I think it's only on the S-PVA panels from samsung that there are these huge problems, TN panels are really fast and doesnt suffer from input lag, so there shouldnt be any problems. But TN has piss-poor colours and makes my Photoshop editing useless. Tho it's a smaller problem then this HUGE...
Yeah the Dell is on a Sale right here now too, so I think im gonna get it. Shame that it hasnt got the glossy coating though.
And the thing that it's only 20" :(
But oh well, I can't stand this Samsung 215TW for much longer :P
Ok, I have decided to return the monitor, if they agree to it.
What monitor would you recommend me to buy instead? That has MUCH LESS input-lag then Samsung 215TW. Please answer quickly :)
As I said I have tried both VGA and DVI-D outputs, same problem with both ports. The mouse feels choppy, which really makes working in photoshop hard, and its not a mouse problem, because I have tried with my 17" CRT recently, and all works smoothly there.
Yeah I've tried different refresh-rates, different inputs etc.
In most games it works okay, and the Xbox360 works wonderful, but it's the lag in windows that annoys me, but I'll see if I get used to it, or else I'll send the monitor back. :-/
Yeah, I really don't know whether it's supposed to be like this or if it's really input-lag, since I have no other 215TW screen to compare to. So I hope someone with the same problem will answer in this thread :)
Hi, I searched the other threads but never found any clearcut answer about my question.
I recently bought a Samsung 215TW (Yesterday), and the moment I plugged it in I could feel as if the mouse were in slow-mo mode. This is so bad that even normal windows-use is limited, as I mis-click...
