Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Old post, new issue:
Running a DVI to HDMI cable to a 24" Samsung display @ 1900x1200. I am getting some distortion particularly on black images (will get random white pixels etc.) from an E6400 Dell laptop using the uberdock (which has 2x DVI output).
Think it is just a bad cable?
Apple has way better advertising and marketing... and a perceived better product to that market share. They're hip and trendy, and they don't have to create stupid websites to try to "capture the female audience" because the product does so naturally (with some tasteful marketing).
The...
I just went through setting up a WRT54GL for WPA/Radius authentication to a 2003 server.
First off: DD-WRT was VERY glitchy during this process and I found several threads of serious problems with the current version (24sp1). I used tomato v23, and set it to wpa2/wpa enterprise and configured...
I think this may have actually fixed the problem, paste this into a VB script and run (disable User protection nonsense).

Onboard audio is fine, and will support many channels no problem. Don't expect the kind of positional audio that an X-fi provides- if you are using it for gaming I would keep the X-fi. I have it turned off on my gaming box with an x-fi gamer edition, and the difference between the two...
1. Retailer/company caught doing shady shit.
2. Shady shit aired to the world on internet.
3. People get pissed.
4. I stare blankly at the screen surprised that this still gets a rise, and make a mental note about X company.
Unfortunately almost every company that deals with the masses...
Alrighty I'm stumped. The corsair seems to pass a memtest, BUT will restart randomly when booting vista 64... seems to run fine if it makes it through boot. This is JUST the corsair on its own... plug in the Gskill and all is well in the world.
any ideas?
Alright I will try the cosair pair on its own tonight and memtest them together. The damn things are so tall that they bump into the HSF, so I will have to test out the 2nd slot. I would have preferred 6gb but 4 is probably OK.
I own a SUGO SG03 and it is a fantastic gaming case.
My only caution would be to pick a high speed PWM fan for the top of the 120, and a power supply with a 140mm intake.
I've got my e8400 on a p5e-vm hdmi clocked at 3.7. The fan is pretty loud when gaming, but the rig is near silent when...
Yeah I thought that could be a problem too, but the XMS memory doesn't work on its own either
I am probably just going to return the corsiar stuff and get another set of gskill
Is it a problem to mix gskill 2x1 and gskill 2x2 same timings?
FYI if anyone ran into this problem:
To get the front audio ports to work on a p180 mini & p5e-vm hdmi, you have to use the AC97 port, and set it to AC97 in the bios.
For some reason the HD audio on this case seems to trigger a reboot whenever you plug anything in.
