I was lucky too. My G1 is stable @ 1500+/8000, no coil whine and only audible over 60% fan speed. On auto fan profile it doesn't go over 65%. ASIC is 69.6%. Solid upgrade over the previous 780 ti.

Yeah, The card just needs a better BIOS for it to fly. 99% my next card.

I am facing the same dilemma. The Gygabyte G1 would be my first option but I don't like the fact they added that DVI port and the card dumps all the hot air inside the case. The Strix is also a good option but will surely more expensive than the G1.

Does this card have a custom PCB?

They did promise that OR CV1 will be way lighter and more compact. I also hope it'll have ~120 degrees FOV.

Yep, curved 21/9 is the sweetspot IMO. I would like something even wider that can replace my triple monitor setup. I don't think their will be such thing though. At least things might get better with the rift.
