Use an app like MSI Afterburner to log the temps of the cards. Anything under 90°C at full load is fine.
How is your case cooling? You need good intake and airflow to provide the cards with enough cool(er) air.
Also try setting up a custom fan profile, easily done with MSI Afterburner. The...
^ This. Click the down arrow and select Properties or Configure... Can't recall exactly. I remember having a hell of a time finding it too. Then it became second nature with the driver that reset the scaling option every reboot (fortunately fixed since). Why it defaults to underscan in the...
PC service is what I do, and dealing with customer RMA is a large part of my day. Manufacturers aren't bound by any external service guarantee, and I have seen RMA take anywhere from 2 days to 8 weeks. Replacements are also usually refurbished, and replacement models are at the discretion of...
You can also try getting Driver Sweeper off Guru 3D to clean up any previous drivers that may be causing conflicts, but you mentioned a clean Windows install so I doubt that will make much of a difference. Never know.
Is your copy of Windows legit? Something else you can try is removing all...
I don't know if I'd agree that it looks better, but glad to see that it's working for you! I went from a 32" LCD as my primary display to 3x 24" LCD Eyefinity. I do kind of miss the extra size of my old display, but I wanted uniformity. I've been thinking lately that I should try putting the...
You're making sure to choose the correct driver version? Operating system specifically; there are separate drivers for 32/64-bit.

WoW's experimental DirectX 11 support does not currently work in surround resolutions (5760x1080/1200) unless you run windowed (or windowed fullscreen) mode; you can't pick the surround resolution but it just uses your desktop resolution.
CrossfireX only works in fullscreen mode.
So you can't...
I'm about as hardcore as gamers come, and also a huge power user/tech enthusiast. Rest assured my rig is rarely used for "basic everyday computing". Previous build was an AMD Phenom II X2 550 BE w/ a Radeon HD5870. Currently running an i7 970 w/ 2 Radeon HD6970s in CrossfireX/Eyefinity. The...
I have heard that running CrossfireX on 5xxx cards can be a mixed bag, and while I can't speak to performance and/or issues on that series, aside from VERY few games not supporting it (FFXIV for example), I've been extremely pleased with my CrossfireX 6970s.
As to apps not supporting Crossfire...
If you disable ULPS (ATI power management), you will have full control of both cards in Afterburner.
Open regedit, ctrl-f "ulps", set EnableUlps_DEF to "0". Restart machine, reopen Afterburner.
And 1.5xx volts on your CPU seems ridiculously high! I was running a Phenom II X2 550 BE with 4 cores at 1.2v. Check your temps man, and lower that if you can.
