Yeah that's the main thing, I want really clear text, and lines for CAD. So many people have given the Westinghouse LCD Monitors good reviews for being giant screens that it seemed like a good choice. Didn't realize how old they were haha.
I'm just trying to find something that will work well as a PC monitor - good text, clear picture, etc. A lot of the flatscreens I've used with computers have overscan issues, fuzzy text, and other problems that make them sub-par for a computer monitor.
I know 1080p != 1920x1200, but most people know what it refers to in terms of LCD monitors, and some LCD monitors are advertised as 1080p even though they have a resolution of 1920x1200, so it was easier to write that for the OP :) 1920x1080 works equally well for this situation. The point is...
I'm looking for a nice, big LCD monitor for my dad's CAD rig. 1920x1200 is the perfect resolution. I was going to go with a Westinghouse LVM-37w3 37" LCD, but they seem to be discontinued and there's no new models on their website. I want an LCD Monitor vs. an LCD TV so that it will look...
You and I had the same problem! I switched my wife over to Mac and after a week of newbie questions, she became problem-free. Now the only phone calls I get are "Honey, I need another 1TB drive for my photography" :D
I liked the Mac platform so much that I built Hackintoshes for my entire...
I've got a Q6600 inside an Antec Sonata III case and I need a large heatsink/fan for overclocking. I have a 120mm Scythe Infinity HFS in my other system, but I think it may be too large for the Sonata. Any suggestions on a 120mm HSF that will fit?
What are the differences between them - when would I use one over the other? The only thing I understand about fiber right now is that it can go long distances.
That's why fiber looks good...rated for miles in some cases. I wouldn't be moving until later this year, which is why I wanted to get a jump-start on researching networking options :D
I'm looking at moving into a place that has a barn, which I would be converting for home office use. Actually several places, kind of out in the country...anyway, the distance between the house and the barn would be anywhere from 500 feet to 5000 feet. I'm also building up a small render farm...
