Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If you open a ticket with MSI they will give you a new BIOS that fixes that problem (I have the same issue but not really willing to run a Beta BOIS since I did like you and just moved the drives back to SATA3G).
I have been using the board for about a month now and because I haven't gotten...
I wonder if it doesn't like GSkill RAM. The site doesn't have a memory chart to check it against.
The XMP worked fine with my RAM except it set 24 instead of 20 all the other settings were correct.
That kind of sucks. I tried a couple different apps last night and I didn't notice any slow downs or "mini freezes". Now you got me wondering if I am missing something.
The one odd thing I noticed about the board is if I have anything plugged into the SATA 3 ports my board wont post. The...
Does that RAM have an XMP profile that sets it to 1600 or are you manually setting it? The reason I ask is because my Corsair is 1066 but has an XMP profile for 1600 and I just set the bios to enable the profile and it runs at 1600.
I just got the MSI board up and running and I have no complaints. But I have not tried overclocking it yet and SeaFoam seems to be having some issues with his as he RMA'ed it. I have no experience with the RE3 so not opinion there.
I am using a Kingwin LZ-1000 that [H] reviewed and it allows for the 2 8-pin plus the GPU 6-pin plus 2 video cards and seems pretty stable so far. I haven't really OC'ed yet so I can't answer that part.
On my 980x it took it to 3.9GHz. I did not spend a lot of time with it OC'ed just launched CPU-Z to check the OC and powered back down and turned it off. I know not a lot of help but dang family interfering in hardware land:D
