    Worthy Upgrade? HD4870 from 8800GTX

I did this very upgrade... more of an incremental improvement for the most part, with the exception being Conan, where the 4870 just blows the 8800gtx out of the water for some reason (also at 1680x1050 resolution).

Electronic Arts Goes Hostile on Take-Two

I can remember when EA was a good company... their games came in a folder, kind of like a record, and they had pictures and information about the developers... one of the first companies to actually present the game developers as artists. I'm not sure when they started to go wrong... but I...

    Time to sell 8800-series cards?

I guess the real question is... are you hampered in your game performance by your current card? If so, you should probably upgrade. I have an 8800ultra .... very few games that I play are pushing it, so I don't plan on replacing with a 9 series just yet.

Reserator XT WC newbie jump start

True, but you're exaggerating it considerably. As long as you use anti-corrosive (included) and change it out once a year, it's not going to happen. Maybe for you. $339 (what I paid for mine) is not a big deal. The problem isn't so much aluminum, it's the mixing of different types of...

Reserator XT WC newbie jump start

I bought one too. It works very well.. mine is cooling a QX6850, Northbridge, and 8800gtx. However, I had two goals in mind: 1). Silent PC.. I'm tired of loud fans 2). Less crap inside the case; I've set up other WC setups before and it gets crowded with all of that stuff in there...

    Building a (nearly) silent PC.

Well the Reserator has a radiator, and I do have a spare Swiftech radiator that I ended up not using in another PC.... but I'm thinking maybe I sohuld use a 2x120mm Swiftech instead? Trying to keep the fans to a minimum... but then again, my case (Cosmos 1000) does have a nice spot at the top...

    Cosmos 1000 + Fan Controller

Does anyone know if there is a nearly flat fan controller that will control at least 4 fans and fit in this case with the front door shut? I bought a Zalman 6 fan controller, but unfortunately the knobs stick out too far to close the front panel. There must be something flat that I can install...

    Building a (nearly) silent PC.

I want to use the Zalman Reserator XT, because I'm building a nearly silent PC. Will it cool the following (stock speeds): QX6850 CPU 8800 Ultra Maximus Extreme Mobo 2xRaptors, using this: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4520 Can it...

Is there not a All-in-one solution?

ThermalTake has some serious quality control issues with their liquid cooling solutions.. leaks, corrosion, etc. Personally, I'd avoid.
