HEY!!! you're 3hit? nice man i used your method a lot with the 980Ti a couple years ago when i used 2016 drivers, yeah doesnt work anymore but if you feel like it i can help you make a video on the methods that work today!
eh no, 240p just means 240 vertical pixels on progressive scan , it cant imply 60hz because pal and ntsc had different refresh rates, i would grant you that you definitely wouldnt think of 120hz but thats why retroarch has bfi.
In any case, you are objectively correct in that pc crt's are too...
on a mid end PC CRT its gonna look more or less how 240p looked in a BVM thru component, on a top end aperture grill yeah its probably gonna be too sharp...only a consumer tv thru composite would look like most of us remember the nes.
convenience is the king of all, being able to reproduce 240p on a CRT Monitor and then close retroarch and play cyberpunk at 1440i is a level of versatility and convenience that can only be had on a computer, all on the same windows session, just a couple clicks away.
ye man retroarch has very thorough built in bfi option to get the 60hz motion clarity back when you use 2560x240p 120hz , there's a bunch of options for 120hz, 144hz, 160hz , etc.
I would prefer to use the real resolution, just 256x240 , 256x224 or 320x240 , the dac shouldnt have the limit if...
some dude on reddit told me that DisplayPort doesnt have the 25mhz pixel clock minimum requirement that HDMI does, any of you can confirm? try 256x240 120hz and lemme know if it displays on your crts.
Intel does support interlacing on newest drivers, but only on their igpus , their discrete battlemage and alchemists killed the feature through drivers, but the Alchemist gpus with day1 drivers will do interlacing fairly well on the DP out, sadly those day 1 drivers are barelly usable at all.
ehhh, the artifacts are only visible if you're at lower resolution and refresh rate, once you get to 1920x1440i 120hz they're not noticeable anymore, i have to go down to 1440x1080i 60hz to see them in Cyberpunk.
ChatGPT gave me the same answer regarding linux, it said that the RTX 3090 most...
