I have done mine exactly like the manual says but Im pretty sure there is no contact as it was 80 degrees idle, when I removed the Cooler the akasa 455 compound I used had hardly been touched.
I have just put one of these on my 4850 and nearly killed it, temps hit 105
I followed the instructions but it appears it doesnt make good contact with the gpu
okay worked it out mate I have the reaper c4 so my timings were wrong:D
however I have another issue nowI cant get the FSB to move of 267:rolleyes:
if i set it to to say 275 it restarts then says its at 267
Im using 2x2gb reaper
my memory has factory figures of 5-5-5-18
and I have been lowering the memory divider to 2.0 I actually tried it at 266x2.0 which was fine, as soon as i move it to 270 it craps out, this is ocz reaper ffs.
never had this much hassle with my asus:o
been trying to overclock this board but my 4gb 800mhz reaper doesnt like the fsb being moved from 266, it crashes everytime on the boot memory test:confused:
Okay guys swapped my Corsair 520 for a tagan BZ 600 the difference is 8 degrees at idle, my system now idles at 42/43, I have tried 3 PSU's in my system now both the Gigabyte odin GT and BZ 600 own the Corsair for cooling.
There is only one downer and that corsair really do make the best...
I am suprised no of you modders have cut a blow hole on the top of the case, I have found that a 120mm fan fits perfectly behind my sata DVD drive, without interfearing with connections, it would be blowing right up against the exposed Heatpipes of the NT06
very nice dude but im done with manual fan control my SG03 powers a 56 HDTV so there is noway I can be bothered to get up to change fan settings.
PWM is great I just wish gigabyte gave you the ability to edit the Temp/RPM states in the BIOS
