Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You can get a $100 Steam Gift Card if you buy it at Microcenter in the US now. AIB partners are getting $50 rebates from Nvidia but who knows if they will pass on the savings to consumers and if the Microcenter promotion will still be going on if that happens. In the UK, the price is actually...
How likely will these monitors have good support for Adaptive Sync at 45-75 Hz where most of my gaming will likely take place? I have a Nvidia 1080 Ti so I know sometimes Freesync support can be iffy with some monitors at lower refresh rates.
Right now I have no idea what I am going to get, a...
I'm getting around 1850 multicore and 175 single core for Cinebench on Ryzen 2700x on a ASrock X370 Taichi motherboard and 16 Gb G.skill FlareX 3200 RAM 14 14 14 28 settings.
I undervolted the processor slightly to get higher clocks with the boost and edited the settings for the Performance...
I have last year's Samsung (I think the 6300?) and while I like the input lag when run in game mode and the overall picture quality, I find the grey-to-grey response time to be pretty horrible. Any of these 2017 models make a decent PS4 Pro and PC gaming monitor with 20 ms or less input lag and...
You can use a cable as long as 15 feet for 60 hz 4k if it is a true high speed HDMI 2.0a 18 Gbps cable, I think the max limit is ~16 ft. Anything longer than that could still possibly work but it would be very hit and miss, they make "active" cables for longer runs but even those can be...
So why exactly do I need 4:4:4 Chroma mode? I set it up in PC mode first, then edited the name to Game Console so I could switch settings. I then put it on Gaming Mode and FPS feel so much better with the lower lag. Also, the text in the desktop looks fine to me after dropping to 0...
A friend of mine did the exact opposite. He HATED having to deal with the ultrawide resolution since so many games didn't support it natively and you'd have to do a ton of tinkering to get it working, so he sold it... Plus, the 34 ultrawide is only slightly larger than a 27 inch display, just...
Even if the PWM flickering isn't noticeable to you, I'd still try to run the Backlighting at 10 just to reduce eye strain. Personally, I really like bright backlighting so I run it at 16, although 14 is probably a better compromise. In any case, if you ever run the screen in a dim room or with...
Incorrect, you are thinking of Response time which is typically 1-5 ms. The Input Lag on most gaming PC monitors is around 10 ms, so the 21 ms isn't very far off when playing in game mode.
The 1070 GTX FTW sold out so I guess that makes my decision easy, hah. I'll just wait for the Step-up to the 1080 if it occurs within the next month or so. And maybe get a second 1080 for cheap when everyone is selling theirs to get a 1080 Ti in January/Feb....
Yeah, I'm not sure what to do, I kind of want to wait on Volta but that could be second half of 2017. 1080 Ti I'd imagine will be $900-1000 price range and just a Pascal. I have the 1080 step-up going but with EVGA being so slow it could be another 6 months haha. That is why I was just...
I haven't really gamed much on this TV so far other than with my PS Pro and it works great for that with Sharpness at 0. However, I was wondering what Sharpness settings should be for both Movies/Netflix and PC modes and are they at the same scale as Game Mode (anything other than sharpness of...
Well the blower cards might be a good candidate for immediate water cooling. Only the short cards will work with 670 GTX waterblocks, although even that isn't guaranteed. I'll find out next week ;p.
The best bet for watercooling is probably the Asus card since according to EK there is one...
The preorder did happen in Europe. The problem was the two vendors in the US that were going to do pre-orders could not because their systems didn't allow it when a set price is not in place. AMD didn't want to reveal pricing weeks before launch to keep Nvidia in the dark, especially since they...
Why would AMD price their cards similarly to Nvidia cards and expect to get any sales?? Nvidia cards came out 6-9 months ago and a revised 780 Ti is being released potentially at $650 with similar performance to the 290X. Nvidia has a much larger market share and fan base, unique tech like...
