Thank you mathesar for posting these 2 pictures. This give me a good idea now and I really think I can live with that no problem. I already boost the brightness of my CRT a little high and the blacks are not really black.
Anyone can give me a tip or two between a 24" Dell and BenQ...
Are the black levels on a LCD that bad? Can you see the difference by itself or only when running a CRT and LCD side-by-side? And generally, how's the input lag affecting gameplay when playing a fast action game like Gears of War? Is it really noticable?
Between a Viewsonic G90fb CRT, a Dell...
Ok so, since I don't have a problem with space and weight I should stick with CRT then, right? Problem is they are hard to find now. Anyone can comment on the Viewsonic G90fb?

My main use will be 360 gaming and CAD/CAM. I was planning to get a Dell or Benq 24" but now I'm not so sure and think of...
I must replace my monitor soon and I'm going for a classic 19" 4:3 monitor. But I don't know if I should go the LCD route or stay with CRT tech. If size and weight is not a problem for me should I stay with CRT or LCD is still better?
I think LCD don't suffer convergence and geometry problems...
Thank you HardwareGuru for your suggestions I really apreciate it. I'll go with a 19" 4:3 since I'm just a poor student and I can't afford higher! Prefer a good 19" than a bad 22".
I'm looking for a cheap (~$300) monitor in the 19+" range. I don't really care about widescreen but I'll use it for 360 gaming too so this can be a plus but my main use will be CAD/CAM.
I currently have a NEC MultiSync FE991sb (19" CRT) but I'm starting to have some problems with it, flyback...
