Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
While it's possible that some of you may be experiencing backlight bleed, what most of you are seeing is "IPS glow." There are some good posts about this a couple of pages back. Look it up on Google images and video. There's nothing wrong with your monitor, enjoy it!
Why does it bother you that we should dare complain about what we thought was backlight bleed in our brand new $800 monitors? I had no idea it was IPS glow. Were you born with this knowledge?
Very informative posts, Snowdog. I think my monitor is perfect. I just shut all the lights off in the room and checked the screen from several angles other than looking at it straight on. The glow changes.
Shut the lights out and open a full blue screen from here -...
I think I'll hold onto it for a while and see if it's something I can live with. The picture looks pretty stunning to me, though. If they come out with an A01 revision, I'm going to want another swap.
I exchanged my first November 2012 monitor because of 2 stuck pixels and got another one today. This is another November 2012 Mexico build. No stuck pixels that I've been able to notice, but the clouding and backlight bleed is still visible. It's kind of annoying that a monitor in this price...
My guess is that they don't want it in writing so it can be posted on a forum, lol.
By the way, I figured out why my monitor was switching back and forth between multimedia and standard mode. There's an "automatic" setting in the display manager. I just had to switch it back to "manual."
They deduct the $75 after tax, but it's still an incredible deal. My mistake was mentioning the difference in currency value between Australia and US. I wish I had known it was a 30% off sale, and I would've mentioned that instead.
Nice! You did it today or before?
Has anyone had the problem after installing the driver and software off of the disc where the monitor switches back and forth between standard and multimedia mode?
Try this..click on the taskbar and it switches to standard, you should see the red text in...
Dell gift card deal is back if anyone is interested. I'm curious is someone can score the $559 price match AND get $75 off through the gift card deal. Buy the gift card here:

I'll have to go back and read the entire thread. I haven't seen those pictures, and I haven't been able to see examples of crosshatching. Pictures make things seem much worse than the really are.
Here is another program recommended for unsticking pixels: http://udpix.free.fr/

If that doesn't work out for you, you're covered under warranty. I'm going to look up JScreenFix, thanks for telling me about it. What about the yellow in the bottom left in the dark?
I thought I had a perfect monitor until I went to this website:
http://www.doihaveadeadpixel.com/
No dead or stuck pixels in all the colors except for red, where I noticed 2 dark specks at the top. I see the yellow in the bottom left corner of the screen with the black background, but I'm...
I got my monitor, but the DVI-D dual link cable that came with it wasn't long enough for me, so I ordered one from Blue Jeans Cable. It's ridiculously thick, at least twice as thick as the 6 foot Dell cable and with poor flexibility. I hate it, but reviews on Monoprice state that their DVI-D...
I called them, but the first person I spoke to was unwilling to budge, so I tried again on another day and was told the same thing ($799 was the price). I did mention to him that someone online had gotten one for $600 (here), so maybe he had to research it. In any event, I had given up hope...
