When I had only my Acer X34 I'd say YES to your question, I was locked into nvidia ecosystem and think in buying an AMD card was a tough decision to make... but now I've bought a Samsung Odyssey G9 and have both worlds: Gsync compatible and Freesync.
I don't know why but Gsync built in hardware...
I have a 2950X with Noctua U14S TR4-SP3 @ PBO, no complaints at all...Zen 2 is better for sure, but the need of changing the motherboard is a fact and it sucks a lot for old TR4 owners, different from the AM4 socket that accepted 3rd gen Ryzen... if it was only the processor I would upgrade to a...
Nice build, congrats.
Post some AS SSD or CrystalDiskMark results, it'll be awesome.
I'll hold myself this time and keep my 2950x for now, avoiding the "upgrade disease" :p.
I don't have this game.
Before the RTX 2080Ti I had a 1080Ti Lighting Z, with both overclocked in the same machine I've got 45% fps increase in synthetic benchmark like Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme.
54ºC at full load w/ fans at 100% (Zotac Amp), GPU hits 2205MHz, GDDR6 at 16GHz, I don't have any issues, this card is a monster.
3440x1440p all games maxed out details and filters at 100fps, just a few bellow this rate (80-90fps min).
