Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The connector on that screenshot looks like NVLink. With the high requirements of ray tracing, it wouldn't surprise me if they announce a gaming version of NVLink for the RTX cards and keep SLI for the non RTX cards. Heck, they may kill SLI altogether.
I also have the X34. I enable G-SYNC in NVCP for Fullscreen and Windowed, then set Vertical Sync to Fast. I run @ 100hz and I've never touched the framerate cap. I run 1080ti. Everything I play is buttery.
The bottom line is that if they don't have an exclusive killer app (game) that drives the sales of the Atari box, they will fail. They have to provide solid answers to two questions: "why should I buy this over the Xbone or PS4?" or "why should I buy this with and Xbone or PS4?" That right there...
I also have 1080 SLI and I play at 3440x1440. In most games, there is a frame rate increase and it's smooth. One game in particular though that is a stuttering mess is Neverwinter online. Oddly enough, it's supposed to support SLI but my experience with it is best when I disable SLI. With SLI...
I own the x34 mentioned by the OP. Worth it IMO. I love my monitor and games that support the 21:9 ratio look awesome. With a 4k tv mounted above this monitor, you'll have all bases covered I think.
My bet: they're gonna do 1 of 2 things. Either not have a Ti this gen like the 680's or release the Ti at $749 or more. I've read on EVGA's forums that the 1080's only support two way SLI, so it's a hunch that three way or more SLI will become a "luxury" feature supported by Ti or Titan's.
I bought one of the new 21:9 ultrawide's with G Sync and it's great all around, but it really shines when you have games with frame rates that frequently dip below 60fps. It eliminates the hitching and skipping you get when framerate plummets and keeps it smooth. If you have a monster GPU setup...
Let me preface this by saying that I primarily game on PC. I own both consoles myself to play exclusives and given the choice, I'd buy it for the PS4. PS4 install base is larger, and it's graphic muscle gives it the edge when comparing the same title on both platforms. You'll get full 1080p...
