For people with good memory: please help a noob give his ancient system a nudge

Magoo, wow, hohoho indeed :D big thanks for the offer, i'll look into shipping, but i doubt it's worth it... I assume you can't just throw components into a box and ship them, and i'm guessing any special treatment costs too much... Adding new PSU to that system, combined with a new GPU raises...

i seem to have faild at reaserch... Upgrades i was dreaming about for my current setup would cost me around 120€, so that gives me a rough budget. The setup with a E6300 cpu is a full pc being sold for 100€. i would than sell my current system and this graphic card for aprox 50€ (if i'm lucky...

That was the idea in the previous post, buying a used system. As i said before, it's not that i'm broke, it's just that i don't want to buy a new pc right now, considering i might opt for (or even need) a laptop in a year or so. but as i am finishing one college i have no idea what comes next...

Hi again! I know this is geting ridiculous, but while searching for used components i came accros this, and it's cheaper than what i had in mind for upgrade... and i guess it's on another level from what my sistem would be, if i decided to upgrade... CPU: Core2Duo E6300 @1.86, Mobo: Asus...

I read about that, so i was thinking more in the way of one single 1GB DDR400, i think (in my inexpirienced mind) that it would make a diference... more is more :P And for the video card as i said, i think i could get a used HD4650 1GB, again, from simple logic more is more i would think it...

hehe, thanks dude, you just made me change my mind again, damn :D i can get 1GB DDR400 for round 20€, 4650 for 70€ or so, and i think CPU for round 20€... nothing in $ is an option :D shipping to EU would make it too expensive... or any shipping for that matter, so i would buy...

See, that's the thing, buying new components gets complicated, i hope you can see now why i just wanted to upgrade... i have two hard drives and a cd/dvd drive, and if i got that right that means i have to ditch one, which also means i have to get a new, bigger drive, and it all gets complicated...

Hm, yeah,a dark scenario, but could be, tbh didn't realy think about that when i said i'm not worried... what i ment was i keep security systems up to date and running, and i'm carefull about what i do, so i never had much problems... i might be mistaken, but i don't think my data is more at...

Hello! First of all, i would like to apologise for my bad english, not my first language... Now for the shamefull part: I have a really REALLY old PC. I have money, but as i use my PC mostly for web brousing, videos and light use of PS, it seems silly to me to spend big buck on a new...
