Video editing demands high memory bandwidth, I would avoid 8700k and other consumer CPUs as they only have 2 channel memory. The best CPU would be HEDT, either 7820x or 7900x, for some reason 7800x is very low on cpubenchmark.net single threaded so something not right with those. Personally I...
I compared the Acer XB321HK to the HP Spectre 32 in a Microcenter the other day. The HP Spectre looked much better than the Acer, and was way cheaper. I'm thinking about getting one soon. Sure gsync would be nice but for an extra $400 I just don't think its worth it, especially when the...
I am looking at this monitor for an upgrade. I went to Microcenter today and checked the HP Spectre 32 out, and compared it to the Acer XB321HK which they also had at another table. I would have loved to have seen the BenQ 3201 also but that wasn't in. My belief is all three of these monitors...
To be honest guys it just doesn't make any sense to buy a 2687W for more than $100 when the 2670 can be had for $50, its not like you are getting 100% more performance. The only reason the prices are where they are is because of supply. The 2687W cpus will never be cheap because they didn't...
I ebayed 2 ep-2670 v1 Xeons for $55 each. I got 128gb of ECC ddr3 for $288 from Natex.us. For a motherboard I got a new EP2C602-4L/D16 from Superbiiz for $307, still waiting on it.
To get an idea of what performance this type of system would give in comparison to Broadwell E check out...
Facebook has admitted to unintentional liberal bias in the trending feed to Dana Perino and other conservatives who were invited to their headquarters to meet about the allegations. What they have denied is the idea that this bias was intentionally promoted by management, the most damning of...
You can get a dual socket Intel s2600p from Natex.us for $175 if money is tight. However I think its a damn shame that people might buy a single socket X99 board for the same price as they could have a dual socket C612 for.

Well, the s2600p is $105 cheaper at Natex than the Asrock EP2C602 I got from Newegg, and you can hold 16 DIMMs, it was very tempting for me to consider that board myself.
For the price its a fine piece of kit.

I'm no expert on how things should bench, however as I will be coming from a i7 920 which you show the results for above I'm pretty excited. This will be a big bump for me and I'm going 2 CPUs.
My CPUs and RAM from Natex have arrived, and except for a small spot of dust on one of the DIMMs...
What is wrong with the Intel s2600p? I downloaded the manual for it when evaluating boards and I have to say, I love how Intel details everything in its manuals, its fantastic. The Taiwan makes could learn quite a bit about how to document. My experience with Intel boards is spotless, they...
Sorry, I ordered the board on Tuesday. Just posted about it today. The one I got is the 8 DIMM one from the article in my post, not the 16 DIMM one. I might have rather had the 16 DIMM version, but really this build is about frugality for me so I went with what is cheapest.
I guess I could...
