So let me get this straight.
All these tests are so similar beacsue the CPUs are too powerful for the 7900GTX, and the 7900GTX is perfroming at its absolute best? What would this mean for my X1900XT and PD930 OCed at 4GHz?
I'm liking this chipset more and more, especially since my chat with Fugger. I never doubted him having one, just questioned why. At first I hated the reference layout, then thought about it.

You could have two double-wide graphics cards...
I knew it was an old roadmap. I never said it was accurate, I just brought attention to it. Translating it from French doesn''t tell much more than the roadmap does.
Well my older brother, who just got his first paycheck, told me to build him a $2500 machine when he has it around Christmas...
I remember reading somewhere that they were trying to start the Toy Shop demo on an RD600, but it was failing. I contacted Fugger, and he assured me that his was very stable. He also says that the ATI System Management (ASM) overclocking tool works on other ATI chipsets too. When I said DDR2...
I think that's becasue SLI chipsets processes SLI, while in order for this new Crossfire to work on old Crossfire motherboards, both cards are going to require the master chip.
You just gave me a brilliant idea! 7 full PCIe x16 SLOTS!
HAHA, I know it's not possible with current chipsets, but wouldn't that be something? They could run graphics cards and any other PCIe device. If only Creative would make a PCIe soundcard, and Ageia a PCIe PhysX then we'd be set! A...
It also means faster communication. Come on, how well can the mastercard communicate with the slave through a DVI connection made for video? It seems silly. And, with no mastercard, it's possible both cards will be doing Crossfire management. So more bandwidth and more processing? Also, I think...
The only reason I said forget about RD600 was the lack of the third slot and a probable launch long after Conroe. But if they delay it enough, it may be THE Kentsfield beast, with the maybe 1500MHz FSB. Add that to all the other OC features, and there may be no competition.
But now we're too...
This master-less Crossfire will be higher end.
What he's saying is if they made hard bridges come with the graphics cards, then all the motherboards would have to have the same distance. I think he's also working under the assumption of the bridges coming with the cards.
GUYS, the flexible Crossfire bridge is special because it's CROSSFIRE. Crossfire motherboards don't come with it right now, and I doubt they will in the future. I am certain they must come with the graphics cards. That being said, them being flexible is special because they have to work with...
