Releases, especially after a huge game like BF3 can cause people many problems the first couple of weeks. They will fix it, it is not going to permanent.

I got the Envy 14 last year, its okay at gaming. It heats up a little and fan is loud when gaming, but it looks amazing, is durable and portable. I played BF3 on high-medium on single player with no problems. I got it under 1k last year with coupons.

iPhone is a great phone, if its free then hell yeah. If you don't like it you can always sell it on ebay.
