• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

    Start Menus in Windows 7

Right click on the "All Programs" button in the Start Menu. "Open" will take you to the current users folder and "Open All Users" opens the All Users Start menu folder.

    Things vista was better at?

You'll also notice they use two slightly different separators as well as the much darker border on the new menu style. Luckily the background color is the same... but the search dropdown (white) deviates away from the norm - for the better if you ask me. The Start Menu uses a style similar to...

Windows 7 & 2 Hard Drives (SSD and SATA)

It's possible to run both COD4 and FC2 without installation, you just need the program folder.

    Things vista was better at?

It had something to do with licensing restrictions or cost. For that same reason a gadget was removed from the RTM builds, I think. Explorer won't drag if there is no content under the pointer. If the item you want in the workspace is not select you can drag from where there is content (purple)...

get win7 to stop scanning movie files?

Are your files grouped? This could cause the scanning effect you're experiencing. Another possibility, if you're using details view, is that Explorer is gathering metadata to display.

My jump to windows 7... UI "features" I hate...

I think that was removed in Vista as a result of the Google lawsuit. You can get the functionality back through a regedit though I'm not sure how it works now that Windows Search has no UI. Either way, there is a textbox in the upper right-hand corner of every Windows Explorer window with the...

I've seen a similar issue (transparent favorite and tab bar) caused by faulty or fake (malware) add-ons.

    Any other OS's have cluster-folders like Win7?

Maybe Windows Vista's saved searches or OSX's smart folders? Their not exactly the same but I suppose they're similar.

Didn't think to check MSDN/TechNet for whatever reason... Thanks, SlowCobra.

Where can I get Microsoft Office 2010 (64-bit)?

I tried the download off the beta site but it installed the 32-bit version. Please, please tell me 64-bit is not exclusively available to the web installer. I'd be quite sad if that's the case. :(

How to keep your pinned programs on one side?

Right now I'm pretty confused, what do you want the taskbar to do, exactly? Do you want three groups on the taskbar? Pinned, pinned+running, and other running? If so, you might as well enable quick launch. Obviously, that will lead to duplicate icons and you won't be able to use the Win+#...
