Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Dear all,
I have a HDD which has suffered platter damaged on one surface. After imaging, the output is corrupted and the plist needs to be rebuilt. Can anyone help and are there any tools that we can use to automate/simplify this otherwise manual process?
sorry to bring my thread up again as I have some queries to check with you brothers here.
The DR firm managed to image my drive but the result is in raw data form and is not readable as the files are all messed up. They said they are unable to read the data properly. Is there any...
Dear bros, the recovery centre mentioned that despite it having a scratched platter, they were able to image the HDD but is unable to decipher the data. They said they needed to find an algorithm to translate the data so that it can all be accessed. What can be done?
i would like to ask you guys if it is possible for a HDD to be imaged, and then find that the files are all messed up with no way of reading it? What steps would be needed to make it readable?
after a successful imaging, is there a chance that the data is unreadable due to system area damage? Are there any algorithms or software that can decipher it?
What basically happened was that I sent my HDD to a company in Australia, they managed to refurbish the platter, and did a head swap to read parts of the platter that was not damaged. Apparently there are 2 platters in total (4 surfaces) and one of the surface had a very small scratch on the...
