    Post your workstation 2008 !

They are Behringer MS40 active digital monitors (they have analog and optical/coaxial digital inputs). Pretty decent I guess and great for their price, certainly, though I'm no audio buff. Active speakers saved me yet more space since I no longer need to keep an amp anywhere. I do need to find...

    Post your workstation 2008 !

24" + 20" with display arms + NSK3480 and the near-field monitors with custom speaker stands == maximum free table space. I really should get a camera of my own and learn to shoot some properly lit pictures though. I hate photos like this.

    Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

Here is my setup, just finished adding the last touches - for now. What I did was install these custom-made speaker stands to free up all possible table space. Those are Behringer MS40s by the way. The displays are a wide 24" and a 20" - 3520 x 1200 desktop - with monitor arms I found at a...

    GA-G33M-DS2R

It fits well. I have them in a microATX case as well (Antec NSK3480) without problems.

    GA-G33M-DS2R

I was using them in the previous build for a year right before changing the motherboard (from P5B Deluxe). Well, two of them at least, I bought and added two more during that year. They should all work fine - at least memtest86 runs long time ago never revealed anything. Can't recall when I did...

    GA-G33M-DS2R

I have this board set up now and working great - except after I flashed the F7 bios it no longer booted with 4 GB of memory. I have 4x1 GB sticks of A-Data Vitesta DDR2-800. Not a terrible problem since a 32-bit OS can't use it all anyway, but still annoying. I thought I had bricked it when it...

Asus P5E-VM HDMI: best matx ever?

I find it hard to believe this is so complicated. On the other hand, multi-monitor support is probably usually provided for professionals and business environments by Quadro or other such cards, and gaming cards have never been considered part of the equation... The setup I need is probably two...

Asus P5E-VM HDMI: best matx ever?

Damn, this sucks. I've never used systems with integrated graphics so I wasn't up to date on this behaviour; that it still works like this. It bloody well should be supported. I'm thinking of driving three or more monitors with a microATX system, with a large GPU cooler on the primary discrete...

Asus P5E-VM HDMI: best matx ever?

Does anybody have any idea how the PCIe lanes are distributed? I mean is the main PCIe x16 slot full speed even if integrated graphics is used (with one or two displays, even) and does the gigabit ethernet chip use PCIe or PCI (not good for speed). The manual didn't mention this, unlike the...

Which would be better for my system for 2nd video card/3rd monitor

Hey, how is the driver support in your case? I'm thinking of going for something comparable; two different nvidia cards that is. I'm considering an 8800 GTS and leaving my 7600 GS as secondary, but will they both still get their respective drivers installed properly and be hardware accelerated...

    Settings for dual moitors?

ShiftWindow to the rescue. Basically it takes the configured windowed application and makes it look like it is fullscreen. Thus you get fullscreen gaming with the benefits of windowed mode - no minimizing.

    Computer Desks

I set up my Galant just yesterday and got rid of my old table with drawers and shelves. I miss the shelves and need to replace them with something, but the drawers I didn't really need. Now that I had to sort and store their contents somewhere else, I could easily see most (all) of the stuff in...

    Sony develops paper-thin display technology

Finally, it's about time we got these on the horizon: http://www.thetandd.com/articles/2007/05/25/ap/business/d8pb7q300.txt It is like heavy paper - 0.3 millimeter, or 0.01 inch, thick. There's some video of it too.

8800 GTX 16 bit backwards compatibility

I heard there is a compatibility problem with 16 bit colors, but there's some kind of workaround - I don't know what it is, though. Also, the workaround doesn't work on Vista, but who in their right mind would use that anyway. :) (What do you mean, "old games"... In my book old games are...

    Dual Display question

Try using ShiftWindow that makes windowed games look like fullscreen. Then you can switch tasks freely.
