    Thanks for the recommendations on the NIC, I will read up on that. I should have mentioned we already have a case to use, I have edited the original post to reflect that. I agree that the warranty issue is kinda crappy, but is it not worth the risk for the pcie 3.0 capability down the road?

    He really wants the PCIe 3.0, since he only does an entire overhaul every 4-6 years. It seemed the most future proof option, though I was not a fan of the warranty. Is it not as big a deal as we are making it? Also, thanks for the SSD suggestion, Ill look into those. Any other suggestions?
