    GeForce trouble

I see. I'm.. not really comfortable with the idea of letting my video card sit in the freezer so I can take it apart, though, and I can't really think of a way off the top of my head to freeze something without it getting sopping wet. Any suggestions?

From the page Dank posted: The thing was secured with a couple of black pins, so... these directions, unfortunately, don't apply to my card, huh?

    Floppy drive issues

I had been considering reformatting lately, but only as a last resort. I haven't had the time to, but I guess I'll just have to find some time to get around to it.

    Floppy drive issues

As I said: I don't have enough enemies who would break into my dorm room and tamper with my hardware, and I always lock my door, jeez. Plus, how would that happen with a brand new drive that wasn't even taken out of the box until last night?

    Floppy drive issues

I'm... pretty sure. I hadn't touched the cable at all before this started happening, and I just put a new one in. The red stripe was facing the left side of the slot on the drive and the top of the slot on the MB.

    Floppy drive issues

I've tried several disks. I dunno if they're all bad, but that seems unlikely. As for the other option.. if the floppy port is fried, I'm guessing that would be pretty difficult, if not impossible, to replace without buying a new MB, huh?

Yeah, several times. No matter what version of the nVidia driver I use, it all ends up the same way.

It must be glued on, then.. I tried taking the pins out and the thing wouldn't move worth a damn.

    Floppy drive issues

I tried changing the cable, and there's power running to it. It tries reading the disk but brings up that "insert disk" error. I'll have to try checking the BIOS..

No. I only got a one-year warranty since I didn't count on this kinda thing happening. :S

    Floppy drive issues

Ok, this one is a doozy. I bought a Gateway 700x in about August of 2002, and the floppy drive was working fine up until about... maybe a week or so ago. I go to insert a disk, and when I double clicked the floppy drive icon in My Computer, it just said "Please insert a disk into drive A:"...

    GeForce trouble

Hey, I have a slight problem with my video card. It came with a Gateway 700x I had purchased in August of 2002, and is listed by Gateway as a "NVIDIA NV25 GeForce4 Ti 4600G 128-MB AGP Graphics Card R3 - Part number 6002246." It worked fine for about a year~year-and-a-half, but now, when I try...
