Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have the Arctic cooler 7 in my rig now and am a bit disappointed with it.
I can only overclock my E8400 to 3.8 ghz before my temps start getting over 70C under 100% full load.
I think with a better cooler I could do over 4.0 ghz easily.
Intel's first available Penryn was an extreme edition at well over $1K (and it's still near the same price point today). They have since topped the $1.5K price point with their top of the line chip.
What do you suppose their next step will be with extreme Nehalem chips? Do you think the first...
I read a post somewhere that the maximus has been dicontinued and that Asus had no stock of them. I'll see if I can dig it up. Not sure if it has been confirmed or not.
OK here it is http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2830722&postcount=2205
I just got the new dell 2408 monitor that has display port connector. I'm seriously considering this card because its the only card available with display port that I've seen.
Has anyone tried this yet and can tell me if it's worth it?
Or has anyone seen any other mainstream cards with display...
Appears to still be some available here http://www.pcsforeveryone.com/Hardware/Processors
I got mine from them last week for $219 though. Purchase and shipping went very well.
Can get a 3850 card here http://www.clubit.com/product_detail.cfm?itemno=CA9608100&nav=4for real close to $150 including shipping.
It has a $20 dollar rebate and a $20 dollar promo code.
Not sure of the quality of an Apollo card though ;)
