The RR4320 is a good choice for the SAS expander. My problem ended up being a bad expander. I purchased a brand new one and had no issues.

I have not had such good luck with the Highpoint 4320. I connected it in different configurations, port 1 and 2 of the controller to ports 8 and 9 of the expanders (and all variations) and it does not recognize my drives. Any thoughts appreciated. I troubleshot the expander in several...
