My work monitor is a TN 24" monitor, the Lenovo L2440p. The viewing angle seems pretty good to me. Assuming I'm looking straight at the monitor (which I will be), IPS monitors should still give better colors than TN panels, correct?

I thought of perhaps going down to a lower resolution. I'm lazy though and I don't want to start researching another category of monitors :) I was considering the new monitor (Dell I think) that is 23" and is 2048×1152. I'm just worried that text will be too damn small as such a small dot...

I've done a lot of research online and it seems there is no consensus on good quality monitors in the 23" - 25" range that aren't over $500. One that I've seen is the ASUS VW266H which is on the large end for me. Anything larger than that 25.5" is probably too much. I'm looking for a 16:10...
