Hi there,
I had the same issue and I contacted XFX support:
Within a day, they sent me new bios which fixed all of the above mentioned issues. Great support!!!
Here's the link for the bios and usb flash tool: http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/Help/Support/SupportFiles.aspx?Serial=L3H224514
Single platter Seagate 7200.12 (ST3500418AS) 500 GB HDD straight up sucks. Its not even close being faster than Western Digital's WD6401AALS. WD6401AALS is still the fastest 7200rpm HDD around. Access time is what makes the difference, not the fuc*%(# linear // write/read speed, and WD6401AALS...
shut your noob-mouth and do some studies noob .. those bursts speeds are achieved, firstly, because its a raid 0 under intel matrix storage tech + with write-back cache enabled!!
see if you would know what intel matrix raid is you would understand why my results are so good and why such benchmark (vs single drive) would be useless ;) .. I can only achieve/get close to velociraptor results with AALS by using intel matrix raid ;) .. intel matrix raid allows you to assign...
Results from the same setup while using the matrix raid (allocated 150gb from each hdd to one 300gb partition):
2 x WD6401AALS in MATRIX RAID 0 (300gb) HD Tune 2.54
2 x WD6401AALS in MATRIX RAID 0 (300gb) HD Tach 3.0.4.0
I just switched from WD640AAKS x2 RAID 0 to WD6401AALS x2 RAID 0, and here are the results - AAKS vs AALS
System specs on which I ran HD Tach 3.0.4.0 long bench 32mb test un HD Tune 2.54 default test. I run all benches using the same exact OS image ;)

i just bough LG L245WP-BN (serial starts with 707..., build date: July, 2007). Right now I am @ "User" - Brightness - 60, Contrast - 80, RGB @100 for all and picture looks amazing. Great step from ViewSonic VX2235wm (TN panel) :)
However I am not able to use forte manager 2.8?!
Install goes...
actually on the specs, the only difference is that LG has HDMI port, it uses MVA panel instead of S-PVA panel and rev.AA02 DELL has some bugs that cannot be resolved through color calibration :D - so I conviced myself to go for the new and cheaper LG :)
Right now I am in the process of buying either used 2407WFP (REV AA02) for 750 USD or new L245WM-BN (late 2007 edition) for 650 USD.. dont mind the prices, since its different story in EU..
Which LCD would you rather chose L245WM-BN (late 2007 edition) or DELL 2407WFP (REV AA02) (year 2006) ?
In case anyone has the same issue, I found out today that the "M" in L245WM-BN stands for Multimedia and it has built in speakers :)

Hi there,
First of all, thanks for this great thread, since there is not a lot of info on LG L245W or L246W on the web, especially about the latest revisions.
I was about to order LG L245 from our wholesalers and I came accross that there actually two alike LG 22'' lcd monitors with alike...
