Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I bit on this deal with a 15% off coupon from ebay. Came out to $674.85 total after tax. Ordered it earlier today and it's shipped already! Free 3-5 day shipping so should get here next week. Thanks for the original post and comments/opinions in this thread!
My card was delivered today. It's already installed and so far, I love it! Much better than the freebie PCI-E sound card that came with my Asus Rampage Formula motherboard. That card always seemed to output really softly, and when I'd use a dB boost in iTunes, it'd start distorting some of...
Comparing the two specifications between the platinum and the titanium, actual specs look identical except for the fact that the titanium is a PCI-E card and the platinum is a PCI card.
Both have identical technical specs and audio performance ratings. *shrug* Doesn't really seem all that...
Yeah. It's actually a pretty good card. I almost jumped on the shell shocker deal last week on the xtreme gamer x-fi but held off because I wanted the front panel for connectors and the IR receiver/remote functions.
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion
This is the PCI card with the front panel.
I've been watching this card for a while and now, it seems there's a $50 mail-in rebate now which wasn't there earlier. Was $179.99 just a few days ago on Newegg and with the MIR, I bit and...
While I wouldn't buy a brand-new GTX 280, I'm definitely going to use my step-up upgrade as soon as EVGA posts the new cards tomorrow. I currently drive 3 monitors (dual LCDs and a 1080p TV) on my 9800 GX2. It's a pain to have to turn SLI on and off for graphically demanding games. This...
Actually, they do include a bit of the Noctua thermal compound in the package. I used MX-2 instead but I think the included thermal is suppose to be pretty decent too.
I have this HSF in my current build and am overall very happy with it. Here are some temps under full load on a modestly...
RAID 0 definitely has a performance boost. I ran a dual 74 GB raptor raid in my last machine and a pair of 150 GB raptors in the current one. I see it most dramatically when I'm in the middle of transcoding video and out of laziness, just output raw RGB video as an intermediate. That's easily...
The Rampage Formula does support RAID 0 configurations. The included sound card is okay. It really depends on how discerning your ears are. I'd suggest trying out first and getting a 3rd party card if you don't like the Supreme FXII.
Does the DFI Lanparty LT X48-T2R let you directly change tRD settings? I know the ASUS Rampage Formula does. That is really useful for squeezing extra performance out of your OC.
