Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yes, I am waiting f there would be a GOOD EXPLANATION like firmware is beta and it has a nasty bug that shows after 1 year kind of thing... If I do not hear a good explanation I'll flash the second one. As you said, it is better to have a no warranty monitor than a broken one. And the dithering...
I think here is something really fishy about the flash update!
The dithering issue was, from the A01 update, fixed in september 2009. Why did Mr. Chris M. on the Dell forum knew nothing about it, if the issue exists at all and if it can be fixed. Aparently it exists and it can be fixed as the...
Hi there
I just gor a Spyder3 Pro calibrator. It dissapoints me... I allways thought I will modify the monitor colours but what it makes is a Windows profile (only white balance can be made by monitor settings using GAIN for R G and B). And gain can only be controller using custom profile on...
Anybody notice that when the monitor is power on in the morning that the picture is darker and the whites are also darker in sRGB mode, like if the monitor need to warm up to become it's full capacity. Is that possible?
Yeastwood: If you are in front of the monitor you don't notice anything wrong. But I'd say if you go 20 desrees higher the brightness is much darker and uneven. My wife's monitor has this, and it was a 19" no name for 90 € :-( I don't know what panel it is, it is something cheap...
On the Lagom black levels page, there is explanation about the diethering and why we see it. I only see it in this tests, nowhere in real life. Please tell me where in real situation I can see it? Else it doesn't bother me as I do not stare at the test all day :-)
Well, sometimes I sit on my leg and I am higher, sometimes I don't sit and write something fast while standing up and the brightness is so much uneven and darker it is hard to read. Maybe I am just picky here or maybe I am used to S-IPS of 2001FP Dell, that doesn't deteriorate.
And I allways...
Thanx for clearing it up to me. So you can confirm you all see the background "bulges" or brightness fluctuation when looked from higher than right in front? Itis not a defect of my monitor?
I allways thought IPS panels are good on viewing angles. The only thing I am really dissapointed with U2410 is how the brightness unevenly changes when I look at it from a little higher, I have my 8 year old FP2001 in front of me and the color just doesn't change. It really bothers me as I type...
Hi there
I got U2410 today and tried it, I was very scared about the negative reports, but... I come from Dell 2001FP and I can say this:
1. There is the diethering issue, but I see it only in the test.
2. When I watched dell FP2001 ftom the top it was same color as from the front, here...
maybe the problem is that I change tCL, tRCD, tRAS, tRFC but leave others on auto (tWR, tWTR, tRRD, tRTP, tFAW).
UPDATE: I found out it is the tCL I can not change :-( If I change tCL from 7 to 8 I can not post any more :-( Any ideas? Bad mobo?
Thanx. My problem is I can not loosen the timings and I don't know why :-( Until 1600 Mhz is reached it has 7-7-7-20 and then 8-8-8-24 on auto. If I could get it to 8-8-8-24 on a 1500 or 1400Mhz I think itćwould work. As soon as in BIOS I change CAS and other things from auto to a number...
