I have a VMP 454 and a Dell P992, but both have their own problems. For example my 454 has this problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/crtgaming/comments/pd2k7o/turned_it_on_for_the_first_time_in_a_few_months/
My CPD-520GS has a problem of a "click" sound and the image 'refocusing' almost.
And my...
Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a CRT from someone and they asked me for suggestions on packing them.
I was thinking of lots of foam, double boxed inside of a wooden crate?
Anyone shipped one of these things before that might be able to help?
Would be traveling from US to Canada, and it's an FW900.
Didn't expect to come here so soon for a technical problem with my 454. Sadly here I am.
A couple months ago I tried turning it on for the first time in a while, and was immediately met with this. The monitor has low hours (likely sub 1000), but it was sitting unused for years prior to me using...
Welp, she's here.
I got my IIyama Vision Master Pro 454 yesterday, the box was beat to shit, but luckily the only flaw is a small crack on the top front of the case.
I've had some issues with certain resolutions, and at higher resolutions it feels a bit.. blurry? not sure, will see what I can...
I only play FPS games, 6700K + Titan X Maxwell will be more than enough to maintain over 200fps in most modern FPS titles, so don't worry. I just want to have 1 monitor for games and 1-2 side monitors for stuff like discord/music, but it's not a big deal either way, because I have another PC...
Has anyone succeeded with getting interlaced resolutions to work on Windows 10 with Displayport adapters? Not sure if Windows version affects anything, may end up using Windows 7 anyways..
I plan on having a 3 CRT monitor setup (Iiyama Vision Master Pro454+ 2x Dell P991s), but would like to be...
I have decided to go ahead and purchase a Titan X Maxwell since I needed a GPU and a PSU only to complete a secondary rig I will be running my CRT(s) off of. Question here, is it possible to split the signal from one dvi-i without lag?
I will have up to 4 CRT monitors, probably running two at a...
Awesome, thanks very much. I know that the 454 has different specs than the 514 (132khz vs 142khz), so I'm hoping it can also go above 200hz at lower resolutions like the 514 has been confirmed to. I have a Delock 62967 as well so I will post an update once I get my monitor.
I guess this is not directly related to the FW900, so hopefully it can still be asked here.
Has anyone with the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 514 (and maybe even 454) tried going above the 200hz vertical cap with displayport adapters? I have found multiple people saying they have reached above 200hz...
personally i limit my price range to what i would probably spend on a normal LCD monitor that is top tier (i.e. a 240hz, etc), which is around 300-350. hard for me to justify spending over that for an older monitor that many games won't even support it's top refresh rate/low resolution...
I was watching that one too, but anything over 600USD would be unrealistic for me. Just have to pray my luck is good and try to find one for a reasonable price.
Thanks for the info, I'll adapt my colour settings in games to avoid it (i.e. grey background on osu! and other games).
Also, I've heard the HP a7217a is an FW900 rebrand, but it seems the pixel pitch is .27 instead of .23 like the FW900. How much does this affect the clarity of the monitor?
