For anyone who might still be interested, apparently the problem is in the x99 chipset.
In a similar thread on the same official Intel forum they indicate that z170 does have the capability to do NVMe RAIDs; though it does depend on the individual MoBo.
Your assertions confuse me, Bandalo. NVMe is the newest, fastest interface spec for SSD's, and u.2 is the fastest port. Pretty much any benchmarks that I can find online for the 750 and other manufacturers' drives of the same generation show a definite speed improvement from RAID 0(even with...
Hello Je-Tze,
We understand you would like to setup a RAID 0 in your system using the U.2 version of our Intel® SSD 750 Series.
We would like to let you know that in regards the Intel® X99 chipset, this does not allow RAID configuration with NVMe* drives, this because the drives are mapped to...
Heya,
so, I'm working on a new build with the X99 Designare and a 6850k. So far I'm loving it. But I'm having a lot of trouble finding relevant information about setting up a raid array between the two u.2 ports.
I have a pair of 5TB Toshiba conventional SATA drives which the BIOS immediately...
Thanks for the help guys. While the example system was just a theoretical maximum to help me figure out my power requirements, I did end up going with something very similar in the end. I only got one water-cooled 1080--for now! =) --but i did get the x99 Designare and a 6850, with plans to...
Thanks. Yeah, I thought the power requirements reported by PCHound were ridiculously low, but then i tried the OuterVision calculator before i posted here and it recommended over 3000watts! Clearly I hit some wrong settings in their configurator.
And clearly I'm a complete newb when it comes to...
Here's a hypothetical x99/Broadwell-e build. Even fairly maxed as it is PCHound only calls for less than 350 Watts.
So, I'm still pretty n00bish at OC. Would i benefit from a bigger power supply? I would be OC'ing the three SLI'd cards as well.

I need a high quality, high wattage power supply for my next upgrade, coming this winter.\]
The LEPA 1600w is perfect. I also need to replace a failing case fan. Again, perfect.
