Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I see lots of 3D audio plugins for various media players, but I want something that affects the sound at the global level (like the pack-in audio card tools sometimes let you do). I listen to a lot of streaming music while I work (the stream uses Flash I think), and I want to be able to position...
I'm confused about EAX support. Many cards say they support "EAX" but do not specify if that's 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 or what. I'm in the market for a cheap new card and I'm confronted with this issue. Here are my questions:
1) If a card "supports EAX" does that mean it supports ALL versions of...
Whole number ratios are all I'm really concerned with here. Distortion to me is far less offensive than applying weird filters to the image. And in a 3D game (if it allows custom resolutions) distortion is really a non-issue.
I know in most cases LCDs blur the picture to "improve" the quality of lower resolutions being displayed, but is there a way to turn it off? I ask because I want to know if a 17" monitor (1280x1024) can be fed a custom resolution (640x512) for games that would otherwise run slow at high...
I, too, made an "involuntary donation" to this fella a while back. I'm waiting for $84. I will let you know if it ever comes in.
This unfortunate circumstance does get my brain ticking a bit though. It would be nice if a place like Heatware had a feature to allow both parties to post "in...
Thanks, Chris! How much does that affect your temperatures? Still using a typical HSF?
Also, how does the change to 23x occur? Is it selectable in the BIOS or does it just happen automatically?
Yeah, I'm lucky to be able to run it at all. My BIOS multiplier only goes up to 12! That's what's weird about all this. I have it set on "12 and above" and I guess that means 20, heh.
Lucky indeed! WCPUID says 2000mhz and a 20x multiplier :) I guess I won't bother modding this.
I was curious since my Q3 benchmark went up so drastically. It literally doubled (I used to run a Duron at 900mhz).
When I first popped in my Athlon XP 2100+ into my KT-7 board (doesn't officially support the chip) it read 2000mhz on startup. I simply assumed this to be an error because it didn't recognize the CPU. But after using a few of those CPU utilities they all tell me the same thing. Should the...
Thanks Pauly but I'm looking for something a bit higher.
Budget really isn't an issue since I've pretty much limited it to:
Athlon 2100+ ($65)
OR
Radeon 9600XT or equivalent ($150)
If I need both, that'll have to wait, but I'm definitely going to buy at least one of them right...
