Tried my had at a bit of braiding with the pwr, reset, hdd led and power led.
I've taken out the hot-swap hdd mount and the lower hdd mount. I plan to run the rear I/O cable's down the slot for the hot-swap drive and make a hole near the bottom power socket for all the cables...
All good mate, just noticed the op of the question quoted my post/pic. Regarding a SSD's in a file/data server I guess it still cuts down on heat and power.
Come to think of it havent seen much servers here running SSD's.
Less heat was my main goal, faster responce for app startup times and am trying to find a way to stick another two 500gb 2.5" drives under each SSD lol.
ZFS is not needed for the task required and would not work well with the hardware raid cards. Also haven't really messed about with it...
Storage is spread over two servers, one main the other is just does backups really.
