Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The FT02 and RV02 both have great reputations, but they are also pretty big and might be too pricy.
The Fractal Design Define R4 is very well liked, and usually cheaper than the 55D
Some cheaper quiet/cool cases hitting the market soon are the Corsair Carbide 330D and NZXT H230 (no reviews...
I've also considered the Silverstone TJ-08E and PS-07 (Corsair 350D is pretty big and the open top grill is ugly in my opinion).
The TJ-08 has better air flow by default, but I was wondering if the PS-07 could potentially achieve better cooling performance by replacing the default 120mm intake...
The plexiglass is a good idea. It could get nasty having adhesive facing up to the grill collecting dust.
I think this case has good potential to be quiet and effective with just air cooling. A couple of 120 or 140 intake fans will put a direct air flow on both the CPU (partially at least)...
Doh! Well, thank you for checking it out and sharing what you found!
I don't know why that open top grill bugs me as much as it does. I wonder if putting a layer of AcoustiPack or another type of sound dampening foam on the interior of the top grill would look ghetto?
SSD Secure Erase is cool, but I think the shortcuts feature could be the most useful. Whether you're fine tuning an over clock or troubleshooting a problem, it's not uncommon to have to reboot and re-enter the BIOS/UEFI multiple times. Getting back to the settings you're working on quickly is...
That would be awsome!
I was wondering the exact same thing, but I never bothered asking because what would the odds be of someone having a 350D and a 550D?
The 350D top isn't terrible, but I really don't like the thought of the whole top being open if it does not serve a purpose (e.g. radiator...
Wow - that's a good idea. Did the covers from the R4 fit without trouble or modification?
I'm really considering this case, but I'm not going to mount a top radiator and I'm not really happy with the thought of leaving the top grill open. Has anyone seen any other ideas for closing off the...
I've been thinking about upgrading to a 27" or 30" monitor, and I've been considering the ZR30w. I've read that some of the "Korean import" 27" monitors that lack scalars won't display the BIOS screen on boot. Does the HP ZR30w have this problem, since it does not have a scalar? If so, that...
It seems that the company exited the consumer motherboard business:
http://semiaccurate.com/2010/06/08/dfi-out-consumer-business/
It seems that DFI had trouble competing with larger companies with greater economies of scale and deeper pockets.
As a former DFI LanParty MB owner, I was sad...
I can't speak for others, but I think that some of the back light bleed that is reported for the EA231WMi is actually the "IPS glow" effect with dark backgrounds. As an owner of this monitor, I don't notice back light bleed, though I do notice a "glow" in the corners w/ a dark background if I...
